Deer

Feels like it's been ages since I just did a strait-up character design. So here's a deer with a wee head.

I think deers are right up there with bunnies and chipmunks when it comes to cute.

i have to agree with you on the cuteness factor, nice job at drawing a deer, i dont think i've ever attempted to draw one, maybe it's a sign that i should, or is it? :)

Apes can be cute too, but maybe not the one I drew, hehe. Good job Sarah, I love seeing your work.

There is something terrifying about the tiny-head deer. Maybe it's the overly-large eyes that drill into soul with both barrels. Maybe it's their strange high-pitched call, like babies crying. Or maybe it's the way they continually knock into things with their over-largeness.

The extra-cuteness eyes reminded me of the this line from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy "...elegant gazelle-like creatures with silken coats and dewy eyes which the Vogons would catch and sit on. They were no use as transport because their backs would snap instantly, but the Vogons sat on them anyway."

The deer being festively plump is a nice touch as well!

I love the contrast between the tiny head and the bulky body. Great design... very nice.

Thanks everyone! I usually shy away from drawing four legged stuff, so I'm glad you all liked it.

And yay Hitch Hiker's quotes :) Thanks Tony!
