Cinderella

Thank you everyone very much for all the kind comments on the Dragon Girl story. I've felt so encouraged and inspired the past couple days because of them.

This sketch is for drawergeeks' Cinderella topic. I was hoping to ink her, but then it got late. India ink, the nice carpet and my sleepiness seemed like a bad combination.

I don't think I've ever run fast enough to loose a shoe. Although I did trip on a curb once and somehow accidentally kicked my shoe two houses away.

I like your Cinderella sketch. It conveys the hurried rush one faces when trying to beat a deadline!

Gorgeous sketch, Sarah. It's very flowing... which I've never said to describe a sketch before, but to me it makes sense, and it's great. You do incredible stuff.

forget running so fast to lose a shoe- what about running on GLASS slippers at all. OW!

this is such a wonderful sketch. i'm glad you didn't ink it too, but i'm still curious to know how it would have turned out if you did.

wow...

This is saying a LOT... but I think this is my favorite from you so far. So much life and emotion. I am going to take a few moments and just stare at it.

Your Fan,

It is widely believed that Cinderella had sweaty feet. There is one version of the story in which she didn't actually walk around. Her feet just sweated and she glided on the residue with tiny cilia. It was called Ciliarella. The Grim Brothers rebuked it as a heresy. Anyway, sweaty feet = glass slipper slips off.

I actually like your drawings that aren't completely complete. They give n00bs like me a glimpse at how you construct your drawings. This one is very pretty.

Wow. That's gorgeous. I've become a huge fan of your work, but I may have to go with Jeremy and say that this is possibly my favorite.

I'm glad you didn't ink it - it came out perfect.

Wow.

I love painting but don't have the time because I work as a nurse and I am studying to get my masters in nursing. Your works truly inspire me and when I get back to painting I will hope my work transforms like yours!
