Pink-Eyed and Black-Hearted

Traditional clowns kind of freak me out, so here's my take on the latest Drawergeeks clown theme. I think I've been on a red kick lately. The last three paintings posted here have a red base.

I'm heading back to Vancouver again, but it's my last month there, so soon it'll be back to blogging as usual. :)

A really great image! I'm a bit terrified of clowns myself, but she seems less intimidating. GOD you paint so well!

Awwww Sarah.... you've gone and done it again. Painted us all to shame! I really love this... her expression is great.

I hope your time in the great north has been good for you. Hope all is well and you are enjoying your work.

Take care,

Jeremy

Is there anybody who is not freaked out by clowns?

This illustration is really, really nice! I love your interpretation of the clown theme. The colors are great as always; the hearts are a nice touch and give her some sort of harlequin feel. But my favorite aspect would be the fact that she is not smiling.

Wow! Just Wow! I've looked through your entire blog and I just LOVE IT. How can you paint so well on a computer? I've tried using photoshop and I can't understand it. All tutorials are really confusing. Do you think you could describe your process on the blog? Because I love your style and I'd love to be half as good as you. Thanks.

she reminds me of a white rabbit - maybe Alice in Wonderland crossed with a white pink eyed rabbit.

Sarah,
There are two sites I venture to when having my cup of joe in the morning before settling into work.
one gives me the news,..the other makes me smile. Thanks for another great character, and a site that goes great with coffee. Your work inspires.

Wonderful, WONDERFUL new images, Sarah! Well, new to me, anyway - I don't visit not comment on this here blog enough. I don't know if I've posted it in an earlier comment (my memory is so broken it's not even funny), but it was a pleasure to have met you at this year's show. Thank you so much for taking the time out to talk to me and for the lovely postcard - I still have it!

Hope you're doing well.
