Star Belly Elves

Two posts in one week! Hurrah!

Toon Club topic this week is Elves. I think I might paint the chubby one to post. Maybe though I'll just end up posting these sketches. Click for a bigger version.

Drawergeeks this week is "Star Belly," completely open for interpretation. Since I have baby bellies on the brain... er belly, I drew the girl below. But then I realized that Drawergeeks is not the place for nudity, no matter how tame and rolly-poly the nudity, so I tried to come up with something else last night. I'm not sure what I'll end up sending in, but here are the sketches. I kind of like the cat and bunny.

The Star belly is beautiful. I am always amazed at your mastery of form. This one reminds me a bit of James Jean's gorgeous style

Ooch all of this work is wonderful!

Have to agree with Tony C about that one looking a little Jeansy - I love it! Lovely unique character designs going on too :)

I don't see why your Star Belly would be a problem on Drawergeeks. They've had figures on which some of the clothing doesn't really perform its function (Ken Hopper's Wonder Woman), or where it's not there at all, really (Tim John's Cleopatra).

Thank you for sharing her here, though. Star Belly is an incredible image of joy and confidence.

That ain't nudity! I mean, Disney's fantasia had that level of salaciousness!

I love that little fairy. I look at it and hear chimes.
