Painting and Anthology!

Yay! Back in Texas again, so here's another post and finally a post with some color. I've actually been doing a lot of painting lately for the film I'm working on. It's amazing how you can show a sketch of a character design and no one is all that impressed, but if you paint the same design, everyone loves it.

And as promised; an announcement. I have a mini story in the upcoming fairytale themed Fablewood Anthology. It is called "Fish." I posted the pencils for the first page a few months ago, you can see them here.

I'll be sure to post more about Fablewood as I know it! :)

I love your colors on this one...on all of them actually. That's a great stare she's got.

Only when you paint it well - like this one! I love that subtle expression in her eyes. So insecure and hopeful.

Wow!! Wonderful mermaid!! :D
I love it!! ^^
Aw your paintings are always so pretty! And I think they give your characters so much more personality, perhaps that is why people are impressed more so? It gives more depth than just a sketch and makes that world much more fully realized.

Wow... really beautiful skin tones on her. Love it.
And yeah, when you add color it becomes "art." Hah.

Also, congrats on the anthology! That rocks.
