Anne Boleyn

A big thank you to those of you still checking the blog. I'm working on that mom/artist balance.

We've been watching The Tudors and it inspired me to paint the unfortunate Anne.

Sarah...

I am a friend (well, a student really) of Bryan Ballinger's, and somewhat of an artist myself sometimes. I frequently enjoy looking at your work on drawergeeks, and now that I have found your blog, I think I'll double the fun. I think you do real good work.

Love it!
Especially the cut-here-line, it makes it just somewhat more... how do you put it artsy?

I saw a tattoo one time like this - a line all around the guy's neck, with "Cut on the Dotted Line" at the front.

Great picture, as usual. I'm glad you're still posting occasionally, but I also hope you're still finding time for your graphic novel.

It's cool that you are adding some graphic elements to your work. It's a neat new direction!

hey great job! you really seem to have in a great groove of a very clean, mature sense of value and color.

being a full-time mom is definitely a beautiful thing (and your art ain't hurtin, either!)

HOLY COW!
I just broke my digital paint brushes... this is too good. And a great touch on the "cut line."

Balancing the artist/parent role is tough, but so far it seems like you are great at both.

Rock on!

This is great!! I like the fact that you weren't scared of ruining your lovely painting by putting those cutting lines in- good brave decision.

Great looking image, gal.

I was linked to your art through a Google alert for Anne Boleyn - and I love the picture! I'm a new Tudors geek and longtime history geek so it's great to see both come together. You should post in on the Tudors Wiki site with the other fantastic art! Congrats on the new Mom status and again, thank you for the great art.
