The Wellington Division - Jase and Yelrah
New pages are up. Thank you for your patience. I was out of town yesterday and had no way to post this.
Yelrah is one of my favorite characters, but I suppose you wouldn't think so considering her story, particularly this week. Only a handful of sequences to go. Next week's sequence has a huge plot revelation.

Thank you so much Sarah, your writing is really exceptional. It is seldom that the protagonists of a tale have such depth and such open flaws. I just love that is no blind heroism of a perfect and invincible hero, nor an easy solution to deeply rooted problems in the society you picture. War hurts and many will die and everyone suffer, which you manage to portray so well. So much fantasy out there is just a bland tale of heroism, but somehow you made something exceptional here. And - and although I am truly sorry to play the woman cart - its always nice to see that a female author manages to write such an epic fantasy tale, including a complex political background and war. I guess you countered some clichés with that alone ;-) Thank you so much for this comic; I truly wished you would have had the opportunity to polish it, finish the pages take them into print, because I really believe it would have been worth it.
I truly look forward to the end of this tale
As for Jase, Andra. I agree, it is pretty horrible of him to consider running away with Yelrah. Yet, I'm not sure he would be able to follow through. I think the reality of what he and Yelrah have done to the other sprites is starting to hit him and he's panicking. I believe Jase wants to save others and has a good heart, but he is not good at predicting the consequences of his actions, and when the unexpected happens (in battle and with the ladies), he responds with belligerence or grand, dramatic decisions.
Almost any other comic I'd be screaming "WHY?!" but in this case, it's just a few tears, because really, how else could it have turned out? You don't pull punches with your story-telling. Well done, madam.
Also...WHY?!?!?! *sob*
And that's really interesting, Truxillogical. I've always thought it was pretty sexist how all the characters just assume that the one has to be a guy. It never occurred to me that the one might be Yelrah, though. However, that would have been a really cool twist, particularly considering her history with the sprite prophets. Why else would would she be befriended by Ferin? Hmm...
And I'm sorry Tiffany! I'm glad you liked Yelrah so much. :)
